Fujifilm showcases its latest medical devices at the 70th Annual IRIA Conference 2017

Jaipur, January 5, 2017: Fujifilm India Private Limited, one of the leaders in Healthcare industry, today, showcased its latest medical equipment at the 70th Annual Conference of Indian Radiological & Imaging Association (IRIA). The conference is being organized at B.M. Birla Science and Technology Research Center, Jaipur from 5th -8th January 2017. As part of the event, Fujifilm will be displaying its latest medical devices like Full Field Digital Mammography (FFDM), Digital Radiography (DR), Computed Radiography (CR) Systems, Medical Informatics (medical imaging and information management system) and Ultrasound Equipment.

In FFDM, Fujifilm is showcasing its state of the art Amulet Innovality- a highly advanced breast cancer diagnostic machine that has made early detection of breast cancer a reality with its 50 Micron 3D image quality and advanced tomosynthesis technology that reveals the internal structure of the breast with a precision enabling the detection of lesions that ordinarily get overlooked in a routine mammography. Fujifilm India has already installed this product in many top private and government hospitals in India.

In DR systems, the company is displaying the FDR Smart F – Fujifilm’s latest high quality, cost effective digital X-ray system which can be easily installed in limited spaces and is easy to use. This product was especially designed for emerging countries like India. In CR systems, Fujifilm is showcasing the Prima TM – an affordable High-speed image processing tabletop FCR (Fuji Computed Radiography) with mammography compatibility. It sports a space saving design and provides superior image quality of 50 Micron resolutions.

In Medical Informatics, the company will showcase the SYNAPSE-PACS, RIS and Mobility Solution to provide improved workflow, efficiency and quality of reporting in radiology departments. Since 1999, Synapse® has been transforming healthcare organizations with continuous innovation in diagnostic image management, advanced visualization, enterprise imaging workflow and shared informatics architecture.

In the Ultrasound space, Fujifilm will display the SonoSite X-Porte FC-I – an ultrasound machine with breakthrough extreme definition imaging for pinpoint precision. It comes with educational resources such as step-by-step tutorials viewable simultaneously with live scans.

Commenting on participation in IRIA 2017, Mr. Yasunobu Nishiyama, Managing Director, Fujifilm India Pvt. Ltd. said, “The Annual Conference of Indian Radiological & Imaging Association is one of the key medical conferences in India to showcase our prowess in the Healthcare industry. It is our constant endeavor to innovate and provide high quality medical solutions that will contribute to better healthcare facilities and services in India. The DR Panels has been among our focus product this year and we are looking at a 200% growth in its sales by the end of this fiscal. Fujifilm has developed and provided new products and services especially DR & Healthcare IT (HCIT), focusing on expanding healthcare business in India. About 'Indian Radiological Association

The 'Indian Radiological Association' took its birth in 1931 in Calcutta with Late Dr Ajit Mohan Bose as founder President and Dr Subodh Mitra as founder Secretary. In March 1937, the Indian Radiological Association was registered under Act XXI of 1860, with the Registrar of Joint Stock Companies, Bengal Registration No. 6644 (1936‐37).

The first Annual Congress of Radiology was held in 1946 in Madras under the Presidentship of Dr M.D. Joshi and Secretary Dr P Rama Rao. Gradually there was extension of the Association to other states and a wide network of state branches and chapters were formed.

Indian Radiological & Imaging Association (IRIA) has been promoting the study & practice of Diagnostic Radiological & Imaging Modalities including X‐Ray, Ultrasound, C.T, M.R.I., PET CT/MRI and other Imaging Modalities that includes Radio‐ Biology, Radiation Medicine, Molecular Imaging, Interventional Radiology and other related Sub‐specialities / Superspecialities. IRIA actively organizes periodical meetings, CME programmes and conferences in related Sub‐specialities / Super‐specialities.

IRIA Odisha State Chapter was born 49 years back in the year 1965 with Prof. Dr Nilambar Padhi as its first President and Prof Dr G B Mohanty as its Secretary with its headquarters at Cuttack. Over the years it has grown in membership and academic activities. IRIA Odisha State Chapter was registered under the Registrar of Societies Act in December 2012 with its official address at Bhubaneswar. The State Chapter was granted the responsibility for hosting the 69th Annual Conference of IRIA at Bhubaneswar in January 2016. Like most of its predecessors, the Annual Academic Extravaganza will be attended by more than 3000 National & International delegates to share their experiences in the various sub‐specialities & superspecialities of Radiology.
